The BLT Winnower is specifically for cocoa bean processing, and is based on large scale industrial cocoa bean winnowers. It provides you with our BLT Winnowers’ unique breaker, sieving, and dust collection system.

The Winn-150 Small Scale Winnower is a larger and more sophisticated version of our Winn-15 Mini Cocoa Bean Winnower providing you greater throughput for larger operations.

Why Choose the Small Scale Winnower?

Designed specifically for breaking and winnowing roasted and unroasted cocoa beans up to 150 Kg/hour, the BLT Winn-150 Small Scale Winnower offers these important advantages.

Maximum yield on nibs, and maximum removal of shell. The Bean Breaker design on the Winnower is adjustable, and does not “overgrind” the cocoa beans. The ability to adjust the Bean Breaker permits you to keep as much nib as possible, while removing as much shell as possible.
 
Clean to operate, with minimal dust generated.  The Small Scale Winnower includes a vacuum system with vacuum pick-ups for each vibratory screen.  Shell fragments are collected in a drum, and there is a 2 micron filter on the discharge of the vacuum collector.

Easy separation of cocoa nib streams and fines.  Each vibratory screen has a separate discharge chute.   Product from the top screen can be inspected for recycling.  The nib streams from the other screens may be kept separate, if desired.  Fines that pass through the bottom screen are discharged to a separate container.
